Selfridges Head Office London

We designed the Selfridges head office to foster openness, flexibility, and collaboration. Replacing traditional cubicles, the new open-plan layout eliminates designated desks, reflecting the mobile nature of buying and merchandising roles. Long shared timber desks are loosely assigned by department, with colour-coded cubbyholes, while the space also includes informal seating areas, meeting booths, and residential-style workrooms. A vibrant breakout area and a playroom with table tennis offer space for relaxation, and an outdoor terrace adds further appeal. The redesign responds to evolving work patterns, aiming to break away from rigid office norms and create a functional yet homely environment that enhances communication and productivity.
