Boat House Windsor
This restored Victorian Boathouse offers a serene retreat for refuge, inspiration, and reflection, set in isolation by a lakeside and surrounded by natural beauty. Alex Cochrane Architects reimagined the space by opening the gable ends in period style, allowing natural light to flood the interior and strengthen the connection with the landscape. The outdated interior was completely stripped out and replaced with an open-plan layout of three interlocking living zones. The original A-frame structure was carefully restored to preserve the building’s historical character. A refined palette of traditional materials, fine detailing, and precise craftsmanship defines the calm, minimalist interior. The result is a pure, tranquil space that honours its heritage while embracing modern living.
